Stress can make our body and mind contract into a restricted sense of self, polarised against much of our experience. We might try to think our way free and control aspects of our lives to protect ourselves, but this just tends to perpetuate physical and emotional tension – ‘what you resist persists’.

Stress can also be a powerful incentive for growth and transformation – profound realisation and compassion can arise when we deeply understand and embrace our suffering.

In this workshop we will do guided practices which relax and expand body and mind. We will explore the dynamics of stress and the habits and energetic patterns which keep us stuck, and ways to work with these.
As we learn to soften our bodies, open our minds and turn our hearts towards a loving relationship with all of life, we experience more ease, more happiness and are able contribute to the work of bringing peace and healing to our world.

Bring your own lunch. We will observe a Noble Silence during the lunch break.
